First, confirm that the printer is plugged in and turned on.
Now that the printer is “on”, the green light next to the power button will light up.
Users are then suggested to press and hold the “WPS” button mentioned on the printer until the amber alarm light flashes.
Then slowly release the “WPS” button followed by the flash.
Note: Users are suggested to ensure that the “WPS” light is flashing quickly, and the power light is “ON”.
While the “WPS” light is flashing, users are advised to press and hold the “WPS” button mentioned on the wireless router.
Note: It is recommended to press the “WPS” button for 1-2 minutes.
Now that both “Wi-Fi” and the power light are still flashing, it means the devices are connected.
Thereafter, once the printer and router are connected, users can install Canon printer drivers.
Note: Install the drivers via the CD-ROM that came with the printer or download the installation drivers from the official website.

  • Once the official website is opened, users can type in the printer model number and click on the search icon.
  • Now follow the prompts to complete the Canon Printer MG2922 setup process.
  • Note: Users have to choose the following options, i.e., “Select Region,” “Select Product Name,” “Select Item,” “Select Operating System.”
  • Thereafter, users are advised to click on the “Download” button.
  • Then, the “.exe” file will begin downloading.
  • Thereafter, users are suggested to open the downloaded file to get started with the setup process.
  • Now users are advised to check the information provided on the opening screen and tap on the “Next” button.
  • From there, select the “Wireless LAN Connection” option and tap on the “Next” button.
  • Now, select the Access Point connection and hit on the “Next” option.
  • Users are then recommended to click “Next” and make sure the printer is “On”.
  • Next, it will start searching for the printer that is already connected to the network.
  • Note: For users setting up a Canon printer for the first time, the list will be empty.
  • Note: Hit on the “Settings printer could not be found in list” box and then tap on “Next” option.
  • If the printer is mentioned in the list, tap the “Next” button.
  • Now the setup guide will be installed, and from there, users are suggested to click on “Next”.
  • After that hit on the button saying “cableless setup”.
  • Then the “Connection via Cableless Setup” window will appear on the screen.
  • Note: Users are suggested to click “Next” on the next two screens.
  • Now the Settings pop-up will open.
